How do I write the perfect post?

The trade fair website is used to reach the first interested parties before the trade fair and to attract new customers. But what do you need to pay attention to if you want to present your product, service or something else?

How do I find the best title?

When choosing a title, you should set yourself a single goal: How can I convince readers to click on my post? A simple solution is to choose an exciting title that evokes an emotion. Product and company names have no place in the title, as they can be rather boring or even off-putting. The company name should be completly avoided, as the name of the company is already displayed in the preview tile and in the post itself.

In our example, we have settled for an emotionally gripping product title:


Why the teaser text?

The teaser text gives an insight into what you can expect from the post even before you open it. Here it is important to write briefly, concisely and excitingly why it is worth opening the post. A maximum of 300 characters including spaces is available for this (at least 150).

Note: The teaser cannot display any links or enumerations. Accordingly, these should be omitted from the teaser text.


Add a suitable image/video

An image or video can achieve a lot, above all attract the reader's attention and at the same time provide a visual answer to the questions that arise when reading the text. The image should be provided in the following format: Recommended aspect ratio: 16:9, recommended minimum size: 1280 x 720 pixels. Videos can be placed via a YouTube or Vimeo link.


Why are these first three points so important?

Before readers make a conscious decision in favour of a post, a preview tile is shown. This tile must therefore attract attention and encourage those interested to read the post. The title, image and teaser text are displayed for this purpose:

A good preview tile of your post will generate clicks without giving too much information to those interested. In return, they will want to read the entire article.


What about my information that I want to show readers?

The detailed information can be placed in the running text. It is important that the text is written smoothly and pleasantly. In addition, when formatting, care should be taken to emphasise individual areas, be it with bullet points, subtitles or bold words. Everything is at your disposal in the running text: you can add links, videos and tables and write as much as you like.


What else do I need to consider?

Contact person: You must enter a contact person. This includes the name, role, a contact picture and an e-mail address. The e-mail address is not shown publicly, but messages from the community are sent to this address via a contact form.

Choice of topic: At each trade fair, you can address the article to your desired target audience. It is important that the topics match the content of the text so that the article reaches the most interesting customer group for you.


What will my post look like in the end?

When you open the post, you can see all the post information as well as details of the person publishing the post and the contact person. The provider profile is directly linked so that interested parties can immediately click on your provider profile. You also have the option of sharing the post on your social media channels.
